Even a naked body tightly squeezed in a box in an extremely uncomfortable pose can dance. Marie Goeminne, the Belgian choreographer and performer based in the Netherlands created the piece that arises from fascination with man and the body shape. Minimal movements of arms, fingers, a pelvis and thighs can be seen and examined as under a microscope, even a slight twinge of back muscles or skin pinched by fingers have some meaning. The body transforms into an intimate projection screen featuring the text and the performer’s gestures. What if it suddenly disappears leaving only the text behind? How will we react, when we assign a face to the body?
