Visit marvellous places of the former Cistercian monastery (now the Estate in Zdar), designed by the distinguished Baroque architect Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel. It’s a good chance for you to take a peek into the lives of Cistercian monks. You will see the prelature, an abbots’ personal spaces, the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and St. Nicholas Church, and the convent, where the monks lived. You’ll also have a look into the Well chapel and discover the original 13th century fish ponds.
