Exclusively for KoresponDance, a Mexican choreographer working in Austria has prepared a project with clients of the ROSA Day Centre in Bystrice nad Perštejnem.
Interaction, the joy of dance and the symbiotic linking of the elements of possibility and limitation stand as guiding principles in the foreground of Monica Delgadillo’s work. This community project, in collaboration with Caritas and the ROSA Day Centre, aims for each participant to discover contemporary dance as a means of creative exchange, to develop their own movement language and to express it in a space where preconceptions don’t exist. Delgadillo works choreographically and dramaturgically with the creative and artistic potential of all participants, set to the music of Bohuslav Martinů.
Monica Delgadillo Aguilar (MX/AT)
Monica Delgadillo Aguilar was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. Trained in classical ballet and contemporary dance, she collaborated with a variety of dance companies in Guadalajara and Mexico City. Since 1999, she has performed in dance, theatre and musical theatre productions in Germany. In 2011, she was named artistic director and choreographer of the community dance project Tanz die Toleranz in Vienna. She is involved in the development, planning and realisation of participatory dance projects at an international level and works as a senior consultant in this field.
The program will take place even in unfavorable weather, in the case of rain, outdoor production will be moved in. Capacity of inner space of the castle is limited, we recommend arriving early enough. Outdoors are unlimited.
