Jordi Galí is a dancer who has always been fascinated by gestures and movements which are found in manual labour. This interest is partly because of a family history in building and architecture. Abscisse explores the tensions between conflicting forces in order to create an architectural fiction. In this work, Jordi Galí investigates the vertical and the horizontal by constructing complex structures with the assistance of three other performers, and the use of three ladders, rope and wood.
