In a play of mirrors and images - of themselves, the city, nature - 16 young urban dancers from the Czech Republic and Spain offer a glimpse of the world through the eyes of the next generation of street dancers.

For the first time in this new chapter of the former Vzlet cinema’s history, People - Power - Partnership will fill the space with dance, launching a multiyear collaboration and European tour to 11 countries. Come to the newly reopened Vršovice palace of culture and let yourself be absorbed by the multicultural atmosphere of the city.

We thank Vzlet, the Cultural Palace in Prague, for the opportunity to present People - Power - Partnership right here, in this new beautiful space.

In 2012, she developed a production of Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet with young rappers and hip-hop dancers for the Southwest German Radio Symphony Orchestra, which was subsequently shown on various German TV programmes. Her work has been recognised with awards from the state of Baden-Württemberg (2005) and the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (2008). From 2015-2018 she was the artistic director of Power of Diversity, a large scale cooperation project with 9 European partners.

Kristián Mensa (CZ) is a young artist and dancer who creates minimalist enchantment with his pencil and his body. He specialises in breaking and experimental styles, combining street dance with shades of abstracted movement.
