Canadian performer Katia-Marie Germain transforms a Prague factory into a gallery with visual art. Similarly to the cables manufactured on-site, she connects habits, memory and intimacy in the first part of her project Chambres.
Chambres (First Cycle) is based on the influence of colours on our perception and explores our relationship to intimacy, memory and habits. Through changing colours, the tableaux presented slowly transform into abstractions – the ordinary and the extraordinary meet in a choreographic and visual panorama. Intimacy opens to the exterior; a room becomes an interesting landscape. The first phase of a broader work in progress, Chambres (First Cycle) moves between dance and visual art and performance and choreographic installation.
