Experimental battle

For the first time in its history, KoresponDance presents a real dance battle, featuring dancers from all corners of the Czech Republic. This amazing spectacle is created in collaboration Kristián Mensa and will take place in the category Open Styles, which welcomes all dance styles and forms of artistic expression. A wide variety of music will be provided by DJ Wee. The jury will include Marie Kinsky, contemporary dancer Anna Holmström from Sweden, French hip hop dancer Jerson and Abdennour Belalit, member of Cie Alexandra N’Possee.

The battle will take over the first castle courtyard for almost all of Saturday afternoon, offering participants an incredible experience and spectators a vivid, high-energy show. The battle will take place in two parts, beginning at 11:30 with performances from all competitors. A break (14:00-16:30) will be followed by the finale and the announcement of the winner.

DJ Wee

DJ Wee is a real music passionate, she has always been a huge fan of good sounds ever since her early childhood. Her slogan is "Play for the people" meaning to entertain the audience but still no sell her musical soul. Her inspiration which is mainly the underground dance community can just confirm it.

Anna Holmström (SE)

Anna is a dancer and choreographer from Sweden, currently living in Berlin. For the last 10 years she has worked with different productions and performances like the world tour "Flying Bach” with Flying Steps, doing musical in Malmö Opera House and theatre pieces with various choreographers. Her movement style is based on acrobatic contemporary, with influences from other dance styles. In 2018 she produced, together with composer Patrick Zylka, her first evening show "Pi” in Berlin with her dance company Petricore Movement.

Jerson Diasonama (FR)

Jerson starts dancing exploring urban dances particularly including Popping and Hip-hop. Subsequently, he deepened his approach through many paths and encounters going beyond dance. Binding considerably two universes, Hip-hop freestyle and scene, he was able to enrich his vocabulary and develop a gesture very close to him. An introspective research based on a very instinctive body expression, organic and crude. Points that really touch him and are very important to a dancer in a general way.

Abdennour Belalit (FR)

je tanečník a choreograf, od roku 1994 člen skupiny Alexandra N 'Possee. Vyučuje hip hop a seznamuje s ním mladou generaci, také v technikách hip hopu trénuje učitele tance, a to jak ve Francii, tak v zahraničí (Tunisko, Haiti, Palestinská území, Rusko ...).
