The coffee machine shines. The coffee flows. Kaffee! Women sitting around. Gossiping. Klatsch! Kaffeeklatsch. A theatrical blend of dance, acrobatics and coffee with playful, poetic notes and an endless series of comic situations.

The term "Kaffeeklatsch", or gossiping over coffee, originated in the first half of the 19th century when women were banned from public cafes and started to meet for coffee and conversation in their own homes instead. Their men game up with a name for this new custom: Kaffeeklatsch. This romp, featuring three contemporary circus artists and a sneaky coffee machine, isn’t only meant for coffee lovers. Kaffeeklatsch is a wonderful acrobatic slapstick for the whole family.

Holektiv

Part of the Czech cultural scene since 2016, Holektiv is formed by a trio of performers: Andrea Vykysalá, Eva Stará and Karolína Křížková. Holektiv is currently one of the most productive representatives of "new blood” in the field of physical theatre and new circus, performing across the Czech Republic and abroad. The company has created a unique artistic signature, thanks to which it has attracted new spectators to dance theatre. In 2020, Holektiv and their performance Aviatrices were selected for the prestigious international programme Roundabout Europe, represented in the Czech Republic by KoresponDance.
