Eliška Brtnická: Enola

A contemporary circus solo on the trapeze inspired by survivors of the atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima, the legend of 1,000 cranes and Japanese aesthetic concepts. A synthesis of Japanese poetics and brilliant artistic performance.

Eliška Brtnická dispenses with the established conventions of contemporary circus and works with the trapeze in an original way, bringing an individual style and strong fine art elements to the stage as she illustrates origami folding with her own body. The production builds on captivating acrobatic elements that complement the performance as a whole. It is up to the spectators to create their own story as they watch, since, as Eliška says, we all have our own little wars and tragedies.
