The world is changing and so are approaches to education. Gone are the days when scholastic education only took place at desks; today’s teachers are employing creative, more experimental approaches more and more often, because firsthand experiences make topics both harder to forget and easier to understand.
The creative-educational project School is Dancing has been helping to set scholastic education in motion at different schools across the Czech Republic for many years. Through dance and creative movement, choreographers help children to better understand the given educational theme (from prehistory to vocabulary to mathematical formulas) and, above all, to develop their creativity. Their teachers, meanwhile, get concrete examples of how to include movement in their own teaching. Join us for a selection of short extracts of performances created by school children under the guidance of professional artists.
